The scholars that decide what words will be added to the English dictionary have come to the conclusion that the word misunderstanding will be better served if it is changed to Lindsay Lohan.
Seems a like a strange decision on the surface but if you delve a little further into the subject you'll see that the thinking behind the change is pretty solid.
From this day forward any misunderstandings will be known as a Li-Lo. So if there is confusion about a certain subject you'll have a, "Li-Lo".
There was much heated discussion about this for the last few weeks and the, English dictionary committee, finally came to the conclusion that Lindsay Lohan's life has become one big misunderstanding.
"If she's actually going to live a misunderstanding then who are we to deny her, misunderstanding status"? said Robert Webster, head dictionary wordsmith.
To illustrate the point lets review.
Late January 2007: Self check-in to Wonderland Center Rehabilitation facility for a 30 day treatment ending February 16, 2007.
May 26, 2007: Arrested for first DUI. a obvious misunderstanding.
July 24, 2007: Arrested for second DUI. Charges include: Felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor DUI and driving with a suspended license. a silly misunderstanding
August 2007: Pleads guilty to misdemeanor cocaine use and driving under the influence and was sentenced to one day imprisonment and 10 days' community service.
November 15, 2007: Served 84 minutes in jail. Following several instances in which Lohan failed to attend the court-ordered substance abuse treatment classes. A tiny misunderstanding.
May 2010: Lohan did not appear for a scheduled DUI progress report hearing. The judge issued a bench warrant for Lohan's arrest a misunderstanding because her passport was stolen.
May 24, 2010: Rescheduled hearing date. Lohan was ordered undergo random weekly drug tests to remain free on bail.
July 6, 2010: Probation revocation hearing. The judge determined that Lohan had violated the terms of her probation and sentenced her to 90 days in jail, a misunderstanding of giant proportions.
July 20, 2010: Lohan appeared in court and was taken into custody to begin her jail term. A obvious misunderstanding
August 2, 2010: Lohan released from jail after serving 14 days of the sentence.
September 24, 2010: Lohan's probation was revoked following a failed drug test. A big misunderstanding.
February 9, 2011: Lohan was charged with the theft of a necklace reported stolen from a jewelry store in January. A huge misunderstanding.
October 19, 2011: Judge Stephanie Sautner revoked Lohan's probation, sent her to jail, a misunderstanding.
November 2, 2011: During probation hearing, Lohan was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail, of which she is expected to serve two days or less due to jail overcrowding
Judge Sutner says: "This is what we call putting the keys to jail in the defendant's hands. It's up to you Ms. Lohan"
Driving on PCH recently, Lindsay wrecks her Porche, denys driving the car, a misunderstanding to be sure.
Lindsay goes to a party at a rich friends house where 4 Rolex watches and 10 pair of expensive sunglasses come up missing. Lindsay is not blamed. A misunderstanding.
Lindsay runs up a bill of $50,000 at the Chateau Marmont hotel, says she though the production company of Liz and Dick were paying the tab. A total misunderstanding.
As we all can see Lindsay lives misunderstandings, why her misunderstandings, misunderstand each other. That's why any misunderstandings are now "Li-Lo's" according to the dictionary.
Don't Li-Lo me.
