New York, USA. Noted scientist and globally recognised genius, Stephen Hawking, has made a late entrance into TV contest, Dancing With The Stars. This followed the withdrawal of one of the duos after a freak accident during rehearsal involving a chair and an iron rod.
Hawking, still immobile in his wheelchair, managed to amaze the judges with his firm control of the specially designed carriage device that he operates by movement of one of his cheek muscles. He performed a brilliant dance routine involving intricate figure eight movements combined with deft spin and sway. Judges gave him and his partner individual scores of 7.5,8,8.5 and 7.
The multi awarded scientist appeared happy with his effort and indicated that he had never danced like this since before or after his illness. Hs followers on Twitter were very animated after his performance and a number of female admirers wanted Hawking to marry them.
The ensuing weeks will be endlessly fascinating.
