HOLLYWOOD - The Dancing With The Stars ballroom is beginning to look more like a professional hockey arena as two of the top dancers are nursing injuries.
Maria Menounos, who is paired with Derek "The Dancing Dude" Hough, last week broke two ribs and this week she has a bad fracture on her foot.
Derek revealed that the evening before the live show Maria had bruised one of her tonsils after she accidentally swallowed a red hot Atomic Fire Ball.
Menounos who is one of the viewer favorites keeps smiling and saying that she is Greek and that she does not feel pain just as long as she keeps on giggling that patented Menounos giggle.
Derek did remark to Pico de Gallo of Tittle Tattle Tonight that during rehearsals Maria can sure cuss up a storm.
He added that the last time he heard so many curse words in Greek was back in 2010, when he attended a birthday party in Venice Beach in honor of John Stamos which was attended by Zach Galifianakis, Nia Vardalos, Jennifer Aniston, Melina Kanakaredes, and Yanni.
Melissa Gilbert, who is partnered with "The Bad Boy of The Ballroom" Maksim Chmerkovskiy was injured during her live dance routine and received a semi-concussion, a contused clavicle, a scratched tibia, a pinched femur, and an ingrown toenail.
This week's elimination show found 20-year-old Disney Channel star Roshon Fegan, with his partner Chelsie Hightower and Sherri Shepherd, 44, and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy (Maksim's brother) standing in the dreaded Bottom 2 spotlight.
After listening to the powerful BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! of the bass drum, Dancing With The Stars host Tom "Happy Face" Bergeron announced that Sherri Shepherd would be heading out the exit door.
The co-host of The View began shedding teardrops non-stop. In fact one of the stagehands had to mop up her tears before Val, Tom, or co-host Brooke Burke Charvet slipped and fell adding more injuries to the show.
Bergeron thanked Sherri for being such a sport and showing that even girls who aren't as skinny as LeAnn Rimes can get out there and dance like the dickens.
SIDENOTE: Pico de Gallo remarked that there is no truth to the rumor that Sherri Shepherd was planning on filing a lawsuit against Len "The Grouchy Grouch" Goodman for saying that she appeared to have two bloomin' left feet.
