It was leaked on twitter and other social networks late last night that Konnie Huq is to present a new tv show called 'Konnie Kills Cowell'
When pressed by journalists outside the Groucho club where she was enjoying a nightcap with hubby Charlie Brooker, she refused to give away the plot of the new show and the channel it will be aired on.
Konnie was axed as the host of the Xtra Factor on ITV2 after just one season, being replaced by Caroline Flack and Ollie Muirs.
It is not known whether Konnie and Simon Cowell - recently described as God by new ITV talent show judge Jesus Christ - are still on talking terms.
The hashtag #KonniekillsCowell was soon trending worldwide on twitter - prompting suggestions that the show could be a Shine production for the Fox Network in America.
