Chelsea players have voted unanimously to wear T-shirts to show their support for team captain John Terry over the current allegations of racism against him. The shirts will show the simple but succinct message:
"John Terry Is A Cake".
The Blues skipper is facing a racially aggravated public order charge He is alleged to have used racist language towards Queens Park Rangers player Anton Ferdinand during Chelsea's 1-0 defeat at Loftus Road recently.
A spokesman said:
"We didn't think wearing T-shirts was an appropriate or helpful show of supporting the skipper over the racist thing, but, bearing in mind he just can't seem to keep out of trouble, what with all that extra-marital shagging business, we thought we'd come out and say what the rest of the world is thinking."
