LOS ANGELES - Cougar Town the one show about May-December relationships where the female was December and the male was May looks like it's been kicked to Cellulite Land.
Sangria Wine with TV ClickerWorld stated that the powers that be have decided that the show has run its course and there really aren't any more interesting situations that they can put an older woman, played by Courtney Cox AKA "The Cougar," and a younger man in.
Females loved the show when it first premiered because it showed them that no matter how old a woman was, there was still hope for her to find a nice male suitor who is young enough to be her son.
Courtney Cox, 47, portrayed Jules Cobb, 46, and she told Miss Wine that she herself felt kind of funny at times having her character dating guys who were her son's age.
Cox said that when the show started Cobb's boyfriends were in the 25 to 29 age range, but when the shows second season rolled around the producers and writers decided to spice things up a little bit and had her going out with males between the ages of 18 and 21.
Courtney said that several times during the filming of some of the more intimate scenes she had to stop because she could not stop giggling.
She said she would turn to the director and tell him that there was just no way that this Taylor Lautner-looking boy would ever be involved with a Demi Moore looking woman much less trying to get her to do the humpity dumpity.
Cox said that the director would tell her to just do the scene the way it was written if she wanted to get paid. One of the cast members who did not want her name mentioned said that several times the director threatened Courtney that he was going to fire her and replace her with Demi Moore, who he said would do the bedroom scene with an 18-year-old young man holding a Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable).
Real life cougars Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, and Demi Moore have expressed that they are very upset and quite devastated that the only show on television dealing with the older woman, younger man fetish will be sailing off into the stretch mark sunset.
J.Lo who is 42, and is dating a young man who is 24, told TV ClickerWorld that she has never been happier than she is with her much younger boyfriend Caspar Smart.
Lopez said that once she got past the bubblegum chewing, the constant 'ya knowing,' and the fact that Caspy has no idea who Ringo Starr is things went very well.
SIDENOTE: Courtney Cox says that she is presently in talks to star as an older woman who falls in love with a younger man in the TouchRock Pictures production of The Attack of The Vampire Cougar.
