The owner of the Segway company, James Heselden, has passed, apparently in an accident involving a yet to be named experimental vehicle, known only as X33.
The body of James Heselden was pulled from a River in England on Sunday. A Segway-type vehicle was recovered from the river.
Heselden was a much loved father and very generous to charities, giving away millions of pounds over the years.
His desire to create vehicles that change the way we travel never wavered. His most recent creation was pulled from a river and appeared to be an attempt at combination two wheeled land vehicle and a mini-submersible submarine.
A fish normally only found in the deeper depths of the Atlantic trench was found in the sub, perhaps proof of a successful dive to incredible depths.
Members of the company, family and friends were sad, but grateful that he was doing something he loved when he passed.
