Two dozen Asian Indian guest workers working on an oil rig in Mississippi were said to be on a month long hunger strike.

Journalists rushed to the region ready with research of Mahatma Gandhi's famous protest marches and hunger strikes to cripple the British Empire's hold on India.

Early interviews with the starving South Asians brought surprising results.

Mohandas Dotnotfether told his group's story to thespoof labor reporter, Hugh Nyuns-Rded: "This is not a hunger strike. We are paid so poorly that we can't buy food!"

When reporters discovered that the story was just about hungry people in Mississippi, they cleared out.

One was heard muttering that starvation in the Deep South was like dog bites man: "Call me when poor southerners, Americans or Asians eat regularly. That's a news story!"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
