OAK BROOK, Illinois - The latest sales reports for the McDonald's fast food chain are in and they show a downward slide trend continuing.
Golden Arches spokeswoman Nancy Zabeletta informed the news media that a lot of that has to do with the big advertising promotions that Jack-In-The-Box has been implementing.
She noted that people have fallen in love with the ping pong ball character known as Jack.
She also explained that Jack-In-The-Box underwear for some odd reason is selling like crazy.
Zabeletta said that if this downward trend continues much longer McDonald's will have to start laying off the younger employees and possibly closing some of their drive thru windows.
SIDENOTE: Ms. Zabeletta was asked about the McDonald's corporate mascot Ronald McDonald. She got a serious look on her face and stated that Ronald could end up getting laid off.
