IRVINE, California - The largest Mexican food chain in the United States has just announced that they will soon be introducing their new 5-pound burrito.
A Taco Bell spokesperson has informed the public that the new menu addition will be available at all Taco Bells beginning November 27, the day before Thanksgiving.
The spokesperson stated that the new food item was 9 months in the planning and developing stages.
The 5-pounder will include 3 pounds of ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, bits of jalapeno peppers, and 13 other ingredients, 4 of which are secretive.
At first the new addition was going to weigh 4-pounds but franchise executives felt that a 5-pound burrito would be more atractive, especially to the high school and college patrons.
The 5-pound burrito is being hailed as one of the biggest menu additions in Taco Bell history. The official name of the new humongous 5-pounder is El Burrito Grandisimo.
SIDENOTE: Hollywood actress Kirstie Alley was asked by the marketing and advertising department of Taco Bell to appear in a nationwide ad for the new burrito. She gladly accepted.
