The Government has been attacked by people who earn over £300,000 a year because they are tired of the taxing tune 'All I want is 50p!'
'It is time these lyrics were updated' said business executive Gimmy More 'I think the wording should be changed to 'All they need is 40 pence! Ditch the Old who have lived too long (especially my grandma whose house I'll get when she dies)'
The anti-taxers are also sick and tired of the new pop song 'We're all in this together'. 'Bloody stupid' said Sam Gloat 'as if that could ever be true when some people can't swim.'
In fact the 'left wing songs' of the Government are getting short shrift from the wealthy. 'We might as well have Socialists in power' complained Penelope Scarry, who has manged several firms and finds the tax burden too much to bear. 'We are paying for hospitals we will never go to, schools we wouldn't send our children to and roads we seldom drive on. Unless they tax our helicopters, that is.'
The Budget could disappoint these people and it may even get worse. They may have to listen to 'God Save the Pound' non stop for the rest of the year.
