So my 12 year old was standing up before the whole congegation at our church, being confirmed. The minister was quite eloquent, and spoke long about how now our child would be a member of the Christian family, raised by good and clean living Christian parents.
On the way home from church, I noticed that he seemed very sad. I asked him what the matter was.
He looked at my wife and I mournfully and said, "I don't want to be raised by good and clean living Christian parents...I want to stay with you!"
