There was an incident where the New York Yankee's legendary manager, Casey Stengel, was in an elevator in a hotel after a day game in Boston. Before the elevator door could shut, a hand stopped the door, and in came New York Yankee's pitcher, Paul McDermit, who was drunker than a skunk.
As they rode up the elevator, Stengel growled at McDermit: "Drunk again!"
To which, McDermit sheepishly replied: "Yeah, me too."
