Bit of bad luck for the England lads against Ukraine last night eh?

Substitute Danny Welbeck - who made an impressive impact after coming on - saw his effort blocked in the area by Yevgeni Khacheridi and Lampard scored with trademark composure from the spot.

For England to get a point is actually a real bonus. When you don't play very well and pinch a point you begin to think it could just turn out to be a very good result.

Roy Hodgson calling up Premier League rookies Raheem Sterling, Jake ­Livermore and Adam Lallana to get the feel of the squad was a good idea.
