A comedy promoter who struggled to find a venue for a show called 'Let's laugh at Boris' during the Mayoral election has won my backing for his next show.

Crispin Flintoff, a Brentford resident, is putting on a comedy night on 22 July at the George IV pub in Chiswick High Road called 'Stand up for Labour' and I have agreed to speak at the beginning of the show.

Crispin said: 'I found it incredibly moving when Ken announced he was no longer standing for office and I wanted to invite him to speak at the show so he could see how much his work has been appreciated.'

What a nice man!
