I'm been called many things over the years.

A communist, Left jab, Two jags and a turn-coat among the many - but the best I can recall was by a Nottingham pensioner who wrote in complaining about my excessive expense accounts, he said:

"For a self-acclaimed working class man, having had affairs, fiddled your expenses, accepting a title you said you never would... I think you are a Devil-lying-toe rag!"
