Dear Diary,

W. Here.

I see they have dug up that old chestnut Cheney...not that Cheney's a chestnut.

Start again.

I see they have dug up that old chestnut about me almost dropping Cheney from the ticket in 2004.

I admit I thought about it.

Then I got those calls from Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and dad who are all fellow members of the Skull & Bones, reminding me that Cheney was a member also.

So I dropped that idea like a hot petunia!
