So, Douglas Alexander, Labour MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire South, and my Shadow Secretary of State for International Development, refused to rule out a Lib-Lab pact in the event of a hung Parliament in 2015.

However, the Labour leader, Ed Miliband suggested it could be difficult to reach a deal with Nick Clegg, the Lib Dem leader!

Why didn't they ask me first?
