David Cameron - My Fake Diary
Thursday, 26 July 2012
I today urged Londoners to put up with transport delays during the Olympics as the first day of traffic management brought rush-hour disruption.
Motorists were hit by confusion and delays as familiar turns were banned, new lanes painted overnight and traffic lights re-phased to red to slow inbound cars. My message from Downing Street was sympathetic but blunt. "There is no avoiding heavy disruption as priority is given to the smooth travel of official Olympic vehicles and competitors!"
I resisted saying 'Tough Titty' to the moaning workers!
