I told energy ministers from the world's leading nations at a summit in London:
When I became prime minister I said I would aim to have the greenest government ever and this is exactly what we have, I passionately believed the growth of renewable energy was vital to the UK's future.

Of course I also told them before I was elected that VAT would not increase or be imposed on any new items, student fees would not be increased,... oh dear!
