Barack Obama and I have agreed to review the operation of the US-UK extradition treaty.

At the end of a bilateral White House summit bathed in warm spring sunshine and eulogies to the "essential relationship" between the two countries, we swapped personal investment advice, traded some shares, and even talked about the Afghan war.

When Willie Hague got back from his hotel room meeting with his personal advisor Lucien, we interspersed foreign policy talks with pageantry on the south lawn and a lavish state dinner.

Someone has to do it!
