David Beckham - My Fake Diary
Thursday, 13 September 2012
Malaga has suffered serious financial difficulties this summer after Middle Eastern owner Sheikh Abdullah Al-Thani turned off the money taps.
Manuel Pellegrini's men were then forced to sell a number of stars, notably cashing in on striker Salomon Rondon and winger Santi Cazorla.
The club have ensured a welcome influx of funds by successfully qualifying for the Champions' League group stage, but Al-Thani is still ready to sell.
And now I might be interested in acquiring a 75% stake in Malaga, along with former United States international defender Alexi Lalas.
I have fond memories of La Liga from my spell with Real Madrid and could relish becoming involved in the running of a club in the Spanish top flight.
There's no stopping me is there!
