Italy win 4-2 on penalties.

England out again on penalties. The best result would have been a 0-0 draw after 120 minutes and both teams go home unbeaten without putting their supporters through the agony of penalties, and just give Germany a bye to the final.

England wouldn't have beat the Germans on Thursday and neither will the Italians.
