Boris Johnson - My Fake Diary
Tuesday, 11 September 2012
I have been offered a seat at the House of Commons to return early and challenge Prime Minister David Cameron as an alternative Conservative leader.
Rebel Tory Zac Goldsmith, a senior Tory MP, offered to quit his safe seat in Richmond, South-West London, and let me contest it in a by-election.
The proposal came after it was revealed that Prime Minister David Cameron was planning to push ahead with a third runaway at London's Heathrow airport.
Amid growing Tory backbench discontent, parachuting me into Parliament could trigger a mass revolt against Cameron and pave the way for a leadership challenge from me before the next General Election.
Wonder what Ken Livingstone thinks about that?
