image for US Arms Supplier Sends Blunderbusses to Afghanistan
Sonny Ovagun Jr's Blunderbuss

In a too bad to be true replay of Arthur Miller's Wartime play, All My Sons, an arms scandal has broken out Afghani conflict. The US army contracted with a fledgling munitions company whose real business was the sale of antique rifles at southern gun shows. Armed with US taxpayers' dollars, Blunderbusses R Usses have sent 200 year old weapons to our troops on the ground and now under the ground in Iraq.

The chilling parallel to Miller's tale of the Airplane manufacturer who kills his own AF pilot son by skimping on airplane control panels has antique arms dealer, Sonny Ovagun placed in an ironically similar position. Sonny Ovagun Jr.

While on patrol outside of Kabul, he found himself in a gun battle with Taliban forces armed with US provided Kalashnikovs from the Mujahadeen days. Juniors' Blunderbuss jammed and the poor son of a gun seller was dispatched to that great gun show in the sky.

When Ovagun snr learned that it was one of his very weapons that caused his own flesh and blood to be just blood and flesh, he vowed revenge: "I will never rest until I have vengeance on Ronald Reagan for giving those modern weapons to Afghanistan. I will hunt him down like one of his Borax mules."

Informed that Reagan had taken the twenty mule team express to the underworld, Ovagun snr said that he would go after Reagan's son Johnny McC.
