The cover-up was supposed to protect the Moon from a cyncial 1967-style Israeli landgrab

Groom Lake, Nevada - There are unconfirmed reports this weekend that the Apollo space program was part of a 'massive cover-up' of Biblical prophets' graves discovered on the Moon's Sea of Tranquillity.

Secret archive film footage from NASA's Roswell HQ - subpoenaed in a major legal case about lunar ownership - is said to contain images of a vast Moon mausoleum containing hundreds of OT prophets.

"Now we know why Elijah ascended into heaven in a flaming chariot," former NASA Jet Convulsion Laboratory astrophysicist Prof Einstein Flintstone said today, "the space undertakers didn't mess about in zapping him upstairs."

Weird hieroglyphics similar to pre-Flood Navajo script discovered in archaeological ruins under Alaskan permafrost sites also feature in images of the lunar hearse shuttle's remains.

"You'd have to tunnel extremely deep beneath the Arctic National Park and Preserve to locate any terran launch-pads," Flintstone added, "which by now may have become flooded with overflows of Prudhoe Bay's subterranean crude lake."

There has been no response yet from Tel Aviv where distinguished Biblical scholars are holding an emergency damage limitation meeting.

"These religion wise guys know the game's up," Flintstone continued, "it's only a matter of time before they try to colonise the Moon on the same spurious grounds as the 1967 landgrab of the West Bank and Gaza."

A statement from the Association of Non-Aligned Creationists and Ninth-Day Wonder Adventists is expected shortly.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
