Venlo, Holland, Easter Monday: Thousands of Dutch kids were left crying and screaming during the Easter period; it seems that Dutch Easter bunnies had all lost their eggs?
As the world knows every child in Europe (apart from the UK and the very poor) has to search for their eggs on Sunday or Monday after the Easter bunnies deliver them, hide them in the gardens, bedrooms, anywhere in fact, whilst the kiddie winkies are fast asleep dreaming of Easter eggies.
This year it seems, many Easter Bunnies lost their eggs because there are too many of them, Bunnies not eggs and farmers catching bunnies using their eggs for different reasons (?) are either captured and castrated or shot dead, aaagh!
Hence a lack of Easter eggs for the kiddies to search for at Easter. The Dutch government have been made aware of the crisis and for Easter 2012 have ordered millions of Bunny eggs from Ethiopia (the same place that Dutch flowers are made).
In Ethiopia they are quite happy to have millions of non-castrated Easter bunnies running around, because after the Bunnies deliver their eggs they can all be eaten proving the old Chinese proverb correct: Killing two bunnies with one stone is the same as killing two birds with one stone if you like chocolate.
I also saw Jesus being resurrected at Easter once upon a time, but that's another fairy story!
