Manama - (Groomers): A furious mob has gathered outside the lavish Manama mansion that Bahraini princelet and aspiring song writer Abdullah Hamad Al Khalifa once 'gave' to singer Michael Jackson.
They pelted it with stones and bricks amid a police tear gas and water cannon attack designed to both frighten and disperse the masses.
The American entertainer lived in the grace and favor residence after fleeing the US in 2005 following his Santa Ana child sex trial acquittal.
His Manama bolt hole stay had been negotiated by brother Jermane Jackson, a close pal of the Bahraini prince following his conversion to Islam circa 2001.
Prince Abdullah subsequently sued Jackson for the return of $6 million after the relationship soured spectacularly in a nasty music copyright spat.
This weekend's turmoil has seen livid Bahrainis demand the Jackson mansion's immediate bulldozing in symbolic atonement of the nation's sleaze record.
