Devon - (Groomers): Accused predator Jake Ormerod's arrest has shocked locals who've long forgotten Michael Jackson's 2003 Exeter City Football Club rant.
The 19 year-old suspect is allegedly part of a Devon-wide paedo ring that's just been busted after a lengthy probe.
This weekend Devon residents demanded immediate answers amid growing fears of some covert link to the lurid Michael Jackson saga.
Famously acquitted in a Santa Ana child sex trial the US entertainer made a sudden bizarre appearance on the Devon Club's rostrum in February 2003 to plead for 'world peace and love'.
The impassioned speech saw him cast a magical spell as crowds went wild around the podium - where Jackson was flanked by illusionist David Blaine and Exeter City co-chairman Uri Geller.
A few years later Jackson family members were spotted 'house hunting' some 70 miles away in Appledore, a village made famous by Harry Potter.
"It may just be a horrid coincidence," Torquay Lollipop Lady Mrs Mavis Hardcastle said today.
"Devon's got plenty of home-grown pervs, we don't need any foreign imports."
