The eyes have it.

Paris - (Wingnutz Poser): Was Leonardo Da Vinci a numerology freak who predicted the rise of Dan Brown conspiracy theories?

The discovery of tiny numerals and mysterious occult symbols on the Mona Lisa's eyeballs says it all.

"It's a message alright," the head of the Louvre's cryptology department commented today.

"Maybe it spells out the artist's copyright of the Painting-By-Numbers method of portraiture?"

News of the numbers find has also reignited reports of the existence of four other Mona Lisa paintings in the 'Queen of Heaven' series of works.

For centuries art historians have fought over rumors that these were once hidden in a secret cellar beneath Windsor Castle.

A massive legal battle after King George V's death over what was known as the Windsor Estate threw up some astonishing claims about the paintings' provenance.

Eventually the ownership was finally settled after a blueblood's extraordinary facial resemblance to the new Mona Lisas established her as the rightful heir.

Don't expect a public exhibition of the masterpieces much before 2013.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
