The more things change, the more they stay the same! So much for being a democracy! In Pakistan everything works in reverse - as evidenced by the Army's limited tolerance of all things civilian - particularly so-called elected governments. Looks like all the old worms are coming out of the woodwork.

Having travelled the world with their polished up begging bowls, lying and deceiving donors for flood-aid which has only gone to fill up the Army coffers, the duplicitous Army Chief has had the temerity to call for a meeting with the 'elected' PM and President to warn them about their ineptitude and failures - LOL! Talk about the lunatic running the asylum.

Perhaps this is why, in a last ditch effort, the bumbling fool who masquerades as current Foreign Minister has been pretending to act tough, spouting un-diplomatic garbage while pissing into the wind on the international stage, destroying all goodwill - hectoring, demanding, strutting, finger-pointing, chiding - all to no avail. Nobody's paying any attention.

Rumors are rife that this performance is intended to impress the real ruler, the Army chief while attempting to burnish his non-existent credentials as the next PM. Failing that, he and all his wily cohorts can take advantage of their dual nationality to hop on a commandeered national aircraft to seek refuge in foreign climes.

Hello Londonistan - here we come!

As Pakistan drowns from one end while Army-fed insurgents nip at their arses from the other end, the desperate men in khaki are resorting to their usual buffoonery and goose-stepping nonsense. Why else would the establishment yap about the "needs of the Kashmiris" when Kashmir doesn't even belong to them instead of investing in the health and welfare of their own Paki citizens? Have Pakis become 2nd class citizens in their own country?

In 'normal' times, the Army's tolerance for elected governments is usually limited to 18 months - after which pliant-Presidents have repeatedly dismissed the civilian govt and paved the way for the once-every-two-years Great Military Coup. This is the Paki template for democracy.

So much for America's desire to democratize its untrustworthy Islamic partners.

Well it's back to coup time again in good old Islamabad with the nicotine-drenched Army Chief scolding the govt. over its ineptitude! After all the Army had planned to take advantage of the floods to oust the govt but this too fell through.

So onto the public spectacle - the public humiliation forcing the govt to fall on its own sword 'forcing' the noble Army to the rescue! A familiar plot repeats itself!

If anybody's taking bets it won't be long before the ruling govt falls and ex-Intelligence/current Army Chief-Crook Parvez Kayani brings back his self-absorbed mentor - the other Pervez (Musharraf), as Pak's next savior. It's the proverbial quid pro quo - you scratch my hairy back and I'll scratch yours.

No doubt all 'good highly moral and respectable' -[nudge-nudge, wink-wink] - Paki elites have been praying for the Devil they know to return to finally drag this nation into the morass where it rightfully belongs.

Will America finally extricate its unmentionables from this vise of lies?

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
