The 33 trapped Chilean miners, who have now been stuck underground for nearly 6 weeks, may eventually be rescued by Caesarean Section, it has been revealed.
The news comes after the wife of Ariel Ticona, one of the trapped workers, gave birth to a baby girl by Caesaerian Section yesterday, prompting hospital staff to recommend that emergency crews might well consider the method of extraction as a possible resolution to the plight of those trapped in the mine.
Doctors at a local hospital say that the procedure would be fraught with danger, but that, if the miners are not freed by the time they have been gestating for 42 weeks, or if their lives or health would be put in danger by being rescued in a conventional way, it may be the only option left available to them.
I'm going to stop now. This is getting too silly.
