The United Nations has accepted a recommendation from the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research that Pakistan should be reclassified as an inland sea and given the name the Taliban Ocean.
It is hoped that one of the largest natural disasters in the world, as well as the subsequent flooding, could soon become a tourist attraction, with beaches and marine life. A spokesman said "There is enough sand there already for a thousand beaches and there will be some marine life, which will be called beardfish, but most of it will wear turbans and carry Russian made rifles. There will also be underwater madrassas where kids can learn to swim and make bombs at the same time."
The news has been greeted with excitement across the world, since for years Pakistan was always considered a bit of an embarrassment, like a disfigured child that is kept hidden away, with its repeated army coups, invasions of neighbouring India, support for terrorism, state-sponsored cricket scams and encouragement of forced arranged marriages with 70 year old uncles.
