Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has told Western news reporters that he is the target of a vicious hate mail campaign by foreign intelligence agencies intent on making him cry or worse.

The Iranian premier told this reporter "As you know our religion forbids Spam and other things therefore we have no Spam folders in our email programs. Instead I have 100 of the most alert comrades sifting my mail for any kind of penis enlargement scams - I will not be fooled twice - or viruses or joke emails of any kind.

"They have all been successfully intercepted by this method. I am informed that recently very much mail of a derogatory nature has been found and most of it has been traced to the West.

"We have traced the source of these emails and we would like to issue an invitation to those involved to visit Iran and meet me for dinner at my residency. I will personally pay for their travel."

When quizzed whether they would be allowed to leave he said that they would after some 're-education'.

Mr Ahmadinejad's claims that Western intelligence agencies are behind the email blight have been poo-pooed by one (US) expert who says that judging by the content the correspondence would appear to emanate from schools in the UK and US and indeed the content would indicate that children are the culprits.

"The Iranian President's email address is freely available at many Jihadi sites. Western children are able to access worldwide events and information via the Internet nowadays. It is also common knowledge that youngsters find poking fun at unusual sounding names irresistible. That would explains the childish nature of the ridicule."

One source specualted that the unsavoury emails could be some form of reprisal by youths world-wide a result of Iranian governmental interference with Facebook and other social networking sites given that many Iranian youths have made friendships with Western children.

Among the emails that Ahmadinejad has received were three addressed to Mr I'maDinnerJacket, Mr.I'maDinnerplate and Mr.I'maDinnerDance.
