Ecuadorean submersibles are suspected

Louisiana - (Crude Mess): Wingnut chums of the Amazon Offence Coalition are the top suspects in the sabotage of the Cypress Pipe Line.

The Chevron and BP joint venture has resulted in the spillage of an estimated 18,000 gallons of crude, near the Delta National Wildlife Refuge.

The accident sent rapture-like shivers of righteous indignation among locals, convinced that the evil Chevron supermajor could be liable for another $27 billion punitive hit.

The spillage occured after long 'spud' pipes anchoring an ExxonMobil barge struck the pipeline.

Coast Guard sources had earlier reported that a number of Ecuador-registered submersibles had been seen in the area, tampering with underwater equipmentlinked to the piperline.

Normally these craft are employed in latin American cocaine distribution. But contract rates for politically sensitive hit jobs have soared recently making crude pipeline sabotage work far more attractive.

Ex-Lago Agrio Judge Juan Nunez is still in hiding.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
