After routine inspections, the CISB is considering closing down this year's Winter Olympics in Vancouver, B.C.
Inspectors were amazed at the number of dangerous, slippery floors and slopes that were accessible to the athletes and the general public.
During an interview yesterday,Oley Svendsen, Chief Inspector, said he was flabbergasted at the obvious menaces overlooked by the Olympics general staff.
"My crew was shocked that the some of the sporting venues were located on not only snowy slopes but some of the steepest inclines located in British Columbia! An obvious falling hazard, and not one warning sign or grab rail along any of the routes. Then we checked inside the buildings and couldn't believe our eyes, there was ice everywhere, everyone knows its almost impossible to even stay standing on smooth ice!Much less walk around and enjoy the colorful Olympic displays."
Svendsen crews handed out citations and immediately began securing the offending areas with barrier tape.
"No one is going to take a nasty fall on our watch," said Svendsen.
"Hey!,Hey look out,you could fall wearing those big smooth boards on your feet!" Crews scattered road sand on the hockey rink as an added precaution.
"We've prevented a tragedy." said Svendsen shaking his head in disgust.
