It's only just begun, and yet already it's causing more controversy than the Pope's Hitler Youth alleged past. The Star Trek Extravaganza, conceived by BuckwheatsButt and championed by Jalapenoman came in for a severe mauling from an unnamed left wing commie agitator who allegedly specializes in dirty tricks, subversion, sabotage, manipulation of numbers, double dealing, infiltration, agitation, and being just plain tedious.
The left winger told us:
"Those guys are just hypocrites, and this whole Star Trek thing is just a back-handed compliment to the President, who just happens to be a dedicated 'Trekkie.'
"These guys claim to be anti-Obama, and yet they elect to take on the formidable task of producing a mammoth collaboration led paean to the President, on his favourite subject.
"You tell me what should happen. I think these guys should be blown out of the water for their sheer hypocrisy, and myself and a whole bunch of like-minded people will ensure that this project is never completed."
This theSpoof.com team was flabberghasted by such allegations, so we launched our own investigation into the matter. We found that Obama is indeed a Star Trek fan of long standing, like millions of others all over the world.
We further found that BuckwheatsButt and Jalapenoman have always been totally honest and sincere in their Spoof contributions and would have no underlying reason to appease the President.
In short, the allegations made by the left winger were found to be unfounded. We then went on to investigate the left winger, and although we came up with nothing concrete, we remain convinced that in the fullness of time the truth will out. And in all probability it will not be pretty.
