In an attempt to present a more friendly and accessible front to the cruel and vindictive regime of North Korea, it has been announced that the nation will change its national anthem.
Beginning from June 1st, the nation will use the classic Muppets anthem, "Mah Na, Mah Na" as the national anthem. It is believed that for key events, the actual Muppet band "Mahna Mahna and the Snowths" will be despatched to Pyongyang to perform the song.
It is not the first time that the Dictator Kim Jong Il has turned to the Muppets for political inspiration, he of course made "Kermit the Frog" Minister of Defence in 2005. Unfortunately due to a perceived lack of focus in the role, Kermit was publicly executed in 2007.
Interestingly enough, the actual words "Mah Na" mean (loosely translated from Korean) as "Death to the West". However it does seem likely that the ultra catchy and popular song will serve to improve relations nevertheless.
