Facebook has completely changed its mind about how to control access to its users' information. It says a user will now have full control and will be able to access all information and delete it if required.
The user they are talking about is a Mr FB Manager who will now be responsible for looking after the profile information of all 175 million users. If you want to change your information or update your profile picture you will need to send a message to Mr Manager and he will schedule it. Facebook say that this may delay changes a bit, but FB will have two temps helping him.
Within an hour of posting the new plan on the Facebook Blog, 780,000 users had commented that they no longer gave a rat's arse who owned the information, and could it all go back to how it was before please.
