The United States efforts to empty the infamous Guantanamo Bay jail have turned desperate afer they were caught passing off one known terrorist as a parking offender and another as a non returner of library books.
"We were pretty surprised" said British immigration officer Ian Caldwell "We told them we weren't interested in taking any dangerous terrorists and that's when they started saying that most had been held on minor charges like shoplifting or public urinating"
Suspicions were aroused when a list sent to the immigration office of would be transfers carried the photo of convicted bomber Jaber Al Liby who was described by US officails as an Iranian jay walker named Norman Tully.
Following a quick cross check of names and photos most proved to be falsified with one of the worlds most dangerous terrorists Hassan Izz Al-Din being listed as "a bus fare evader"
English officials say that there will be no transfering of prisoners to local jails although the Irish government has announced it's agreed to take at least thirty Guantanamo Bay inmates including Stan Holloway who was convicted in Baghdad for not wearing a seatbelt and Jeff Digby a Jordanian cleric who was caught smoking in a restaurant.
