Frowners Not Welcome

Florence Italy-- Workmen rehabbing a studio apartment in Florence yesterday made the artistic find of the century. The workers discovered an identical twin to the Mona Lisa hidden behind a brick wall for centuries.

The stunning portrait was verified by scholars as a genuine da Vinci. She was immediately dubbed 'The Mona Alissa'. Every detail in the portrait is identical to her famous sister except for one thing. In this portrait the Mona Alissa is frowning instead of smiling.

"She looks pissed." stated art historian Britt Whitt. "The famous Mona Lisa smile is turned upside-down on the Mona Alissa, she sure looks like a snarky bitch." said the scholar.

The public seems to agree with Mr. Whitt. Online polls of the Mona Alissa say she looks ten years older and about twenty pounds heavier than her twin, all because of her infamous frown.

"It looks like the Mona Alissa is waiting in line at the airport. Some say it looks like she just missed her bus or received a traffic ticket. She looks nasty, the frown makes a big difference." said Britt Whitt.

Art historians think da Vinci concealed the painting himself because he was so disappointed in how it turned out.

"Well, the Mona Alissa isn't going to win any popularity contests with that nasty attitude. Just looking at her puts everyone in a bad mood." said Mr. Whitt.

Online polls support the idea of either burning the Mona Alissa or putting it behind another brick wall for 500 years.

"Let's just dump the irritating bitch in the Seine. People that frown all day are obnoxious." said the grumpy Mr. Whitt.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
