Queen Elizabeth has stunned the world by giving birth to a healthy baby boy.
Buckingham Palace made the shock announcement in front of an excited media contingent earlier this morning.
The 82 year old monarch is said to be 'Enormously proud' of her son.
It is believed that the Queen has been under the care of the Italian Fertility expert Dr Severino Antinori and has had IVF treatment using a donor egg, with the sperm being provided by Prince Phillip.
Royal watchers are speculating that the Queen and Prince Phillip were privately both unhappy about handing over the monarchy to Prince Charles and that William and Harry have yet to produce any heirs.
The boy is to be named Severino or 'Prince Sevvy' after the doctor who performed the treatment and also as a tribute to the Queen's favourite golfer Severiano Ballasteros.
