The Grauniad newspaper has today admitted why it compared the death of Austrian politician Jorg Haider to that of the sad death of Princess Diana.
The politician was on the far right in Austria. In fact, according to the Austrian police, speaking from their Lederhosen, he was too far on the right and driving too fast and too drunk, hence the reason he crashed.
According to Austrian Chief of Police, Sir Adolf Blare, Grupenfuhrer Haider was driving his car at the time of the crash. Sir Adolf said: "Had he not been driving his car, there is a very good chance he wouldn't have crashed."
The news editor of the Grauniad, Lester B Nonudes, said that he felt there were indeed astonishing similarities between the sad loss of our own charitable, hard-working and sorely-missed Princess Diana and the loss of nasty Nazi-sympathiser Haider.
It seems that at the time of the crash, according to the Grauniad, Herr Haider was wearing a fetching little pink knee-high number, with lilac tights, purple high heels, a topaz tiara with matching dyed fur collar and a diamond-studded whip. His lipstick was from l'Unreal, because he always felt he was worth it.
Grupenfuhrer Haider is also sorely missed, but not by ethnic minorities, immigrants, liberals, nice people or genocide remembrance organizations.
