No life jackets for tourists

Habana, Cuba (IPP) - Maximum leader Raul Castro has ordered the Cuban Navy to issue life jackets to citizens leaving the workers paradise of Cuba aboard inner tubes and other vessels. Castro told the world via a six hour speech televised on Cuba's national news network Granma that it was a decent thing to do and would help the emmigrants survive the trip across the Straits of Florida during the passage of hurricane Fay.

Political observers think that Raul is trying to gain favor with Washington by committing such generous acts of kindness.

A Cuban naval official was reportedly silenced after he reported that 93 year old Fidel Castro was one of the emmigrants who was issued a life jacket when he was found floating in an inner tube about 80 kilometers north of Habana. The old dictator told sailors aboard the naval vessel that things had become so poor and dreary on the worker's paradise island that he had decided to try to reach Key West where he has been promised a job as a bartender at Sloppy Joe's bar.

Castro is a specialist when it comes to mixing rum drinks and his favorite cocktail is the Cuba Libre which is made with rum, Coke, and lime and another secret ingredient which Castro promises to take to the grave with him.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
