Officials are investigating Grand Prix driver, Lewis Hamilton, and Mclaren following complaints that Hamilton cheated in order to gain pole position for the Montreal Grand Prix.
If the complaints are found to have foundation, it would blow the sport of Grand Prix Motor Racing apart.
It is alleged that Hamiltons car had no floor in the footwell, allowing Hamilton to literally run along the track, in effect travelling much faster.
An insider said "video footage of the qualifier does seem to show two legs hanging out of the bottom of the car and running along the track. It almost resembles The Flintstones car."
In Sunday's Grand Prix at Montreal, Hamilton was disqualified when he tried to piggy back a lift on the back of Kimi Raikkonens car in order to save fuel. The manoeuvre went wrong leaving both cars unable to continue.
Hamilton has been a controversial figure in the sport of motor racing since his inclusion last year when he notoriously threw away the title with a couple of dreadful last races.
