Bosnia -- The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Richard Myers, showed up late and for the wrong war today, Pentagon sources told The Spoof. Apparently, General Myers took a wrong turn at Turkey and ended up in Bosnia.
Myers, who was expected to lead U.S. Forces in Iraq, showed up in Jankovic, Bosnia looking totally perplexed and asking passersby, "Hey, buddy, you know how to get to Baghdad?"
Pentagon officials expressed concern and embarrassment over the snafu. "The directions we gave him weren't very good," said Colonel Martin J. Chuzzlewit. "And we forgot to wake him up at 4 a.m. so he could catch the early bud to Fallujah."
The Pentagon issued a statement that they were working quickly to remedy the situation. "We've sent a cab to pick him up and take him to Iraq," sources said. "Everything will be fine, provided he doesn't leave the bus station and doesn't talk to strangers."
