The lady, who appears in the picture that accompanies every picture frame you purchase, has been burgled while out on her latest photo shoot and ironically the only thing stolen in the robbery was a picture of herself.

Linda Likewool, is famous the world over for being the face that frame manufacturers go to when they need to sell their product. She's being doing so for almost 40 years and lives the high-life in an expensive penthouse apartment in New York City which she keeps furnished with a muti million dollar art collection and gold.

"I was shocked", said the still-trembling Miss Likewool, "I came home and the door was open and the apartment was wrecked. Everything was scattered everywhere.

"Strangely, nothing immediately appeared missing. Nothing, that is, apart from the picture of me in a picture frame".

Detectives investigating the burglary described it as "unusual".

"It appears the thief knew exactly what he wanted", said Det. Dennis Franz of the NYPD, "he didn't go for the Ming Vase, the Picasso or Miss Likewool's collection of solid gold bars. Instead he just took the picture frame with the lady's picture in it".

The picture in the frame is the original image from which every other copy since has been reproduced.

Asked whom she thinks could be responsible, Miss Likewool has no doubts:

"Tony would be someone capable of this kind of thing. He was a male model who appeared in picture frame photos with me in the early 1970's. But when the fad for moustaches died out, the powers that be erased him. He's never forgiven them or me for my continued success.

"If that picture falls into the wrong hands, it could spell disaster for the picture frame industry", said a distraught Miss Likewool, "I look completely different now to what I looked like when that photo was taken in the 70's".

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
