Millenium Bug made famous by Robbie Williams

Scientists today confirmed that they have found the elusive "Millennium Bug" which was set to cause havoc in the year 2000.

The bug was predicted to cause aeroplanes to fall out of the sky, computers the world over to crash and generally lead to a "terminator" type future apocalyptic existence for mankind.

The year 2000 was famous for being the "end of the world" and in retrospect for the "fantastic party that never was" although it was reported that some countries had fireworks. Most people preferred to stay quietly indoors in case planes fell on them or Skynet got wind of their existence. Most people can remember exactly where they were when the clock ticked over into the new millennium-safely tucked up in bed.

Having found the elusive "bug", scientists are now trying to discover what went wrong in 2000 by interrogating the creature which was discovered leading a celebrity lifestyle in Spains' Costa Del Sol. A top quantum physicist commented "this insect could've finished us all off-we need to know why it didn't."

The bug itself commented, "Why would I bother? All that clambering round in hard drives was hard work, this way I've had 7 years of sunning myself on globally warmed beaches sipping tequila and you guys did all the destruction for me."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
