Scientists today made a startling discovery regarding the receding polar caps in the Antarctic. Many theorists have pointed the finger at man and rising carbon dioxide levels while others have declared we are merely coming out of an ice age and that the planet is naturally warming, both arguments bare credence but latest reports suggest that the sea temperatures could be rising due to the burdgening Adelie Penguin population of the Antarctic region.
While Polar bear numbers have plummeted the Adelie Penguin species have trebled from 1 million pairs to 3 million pairs in just five years.
Yoghurt Wolf of the Anarctic Research unit explains:
"The Adelie Penguin differs from other species as it's body temperature is higher than other breeds, it regulates at 31 degrees, therefore when they collectively urinate into the sea there is an overall rise in temperature of approximately .01 degree a month. I think we seriously need to think of a cull on these particular penguins if we are to survive"
Green peace vessels are heading to the region to investigate these claims further.
