Lib Dem Environment spokesman Chris Huhne has set out his party's agenda for the next general election and aims to cure global warming and homelessness in one fell swoop.
His party will ban all petrol driven cars and convert them into living accommodation.
He plans that small cars will be transformed into single studios, while limousines and 4-wheel drives will make spacious family homes.
Asked what would replace the internal combustion engine, Huhne spoke of his preference for horse drawn vehicles and in response to questions about the smell he said he was sure the horses would grow accustomed to it.
Lim Dem leader "Minge" Campbell has welcomed the idea and recognises that the prospects of an election victory are so remote that his colleagues can say and do what they like in utter confidence they will never have any authority. In fact, his predecessor was a self-confessed drunk and his before was an unmitigated womaniser and toy soldier.
When asked for his views of the Northern Rock affair Minge said, "Paddy Ashdown's relationships are none of my concern".
